Blended Asian trying to make her first blog

I don't know where will my blogging go. But I've wanted to write a blog since many moons back. I'm Ella Nava. I'm Filipino by birth but totally mixed with Asian and Hispanic heritage. My nanay (mom/mum) and tatay (dad/papa) are Filipino from Asian and Hispanic blood. The only difference is that my tatay's grandfather was Chinese. They called him inkong'. I believe it means granddad. That's the way we call our lolo (grandfather) in some parts of the Philippines. That part where we called ingkong is from Region Three, the Rice Granary of the Philippines - Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. That was where I was born.

I had so many fun memories in the province. Both my nanay and tatay's family side are from the North. Bulacan and Pampanga from my nanay, Bataan and Cabanatuan from my tatay's side. As I said, I was born in Cabanatuan, moved to Manila when I was really young, then went back again to the countryside when I was seven years old due to family issues. Please note that my mom and dad didn't divorce. The sad thing about moving back to the province was we lost our dad in less than a year when we went back there. So we just go back to Cabanatuan and Bulacan every summer. But my mom preferred for us to visit Bulacan most of the time. We visited Cabanatuan and Bataan only during reunion or family emergencies. Like, when a relative passed away 😔

I will share more about my childhood memories in the province next time. I can say that I am more of a nature or provincial type than an uptown girl 😂 Although we are currently in Sin City, we still prefer hiking and the county side. I appreciate looking at the wilderness and fields, than the buildings here, although I find Las Vegas my home. This city warms on me.
